99,499 K-1 AUTHORIZED The settlement in the case of Joseph Bishop v. The School Board of Miami-Dade County, Florida, USDC Case No. 99-1670-CIV-MIDDLEBROOKS, for the sum of $175,000. The settlement will release the School Board from all claims, including damages, attorney's fees and costs.

99,500 K-2 AUTHORIZED The settlement [in Case No. 97-3070 CA 15] by approving the arrangement whereby the Board would be accepting payment of $440,000 and Dayco-Astaldi Construction Company would be accepting $100,000 to be paid by the Defendants in the case of The School Board of Miami-Dade County, Florida, v. Borelli & Associates, Architects Planners, P.A., Case No. 97-3070 CA 15.

99,501 K-3 AUTHORIZED The payment of the School Board's Offer of Judg-ment, in the amount of $200,000, to resolve in its entirety the case of Johnson et. al. V. The School Board of Miami-Dade County, Florida, USDC, Case No. 98-3017-CIV-JORDAN. This authorization of payment releases the School Board from all claims made by all Plaintiffs, including damages, attorneys' fees and costs.

99,502 K-20 ADOPTED The amended Board Rule 6Gx13-6A-1.05, Emergency Closing of School(s), and authorized the Superintendent file the rule with The School Board of Miami-Dade County, Florida, to be effective September 13, 2000.

99,503 K-21 ADOPTED The amended Board Rule 6Gx13-4D-1.022, Manual of Procedures for Managerial Exempt Personnel, and the document, Manual of Procedures for Managerial Exempt Personnel (MEP), which is incorporated by reference and is part of this rule, and authorized the Superintendent to file the rule with The School Board of Miami-Dade County, Florida, to be effective September 13, 2000.
