APRIL 7, 2021 SPECIAL SCHOOL BOARD MEETING 1:00-4:00 P.M

PURPOSE: To discuss the Selection Process for the Chief Auditor. This Special Meeting conducted by The School Board of Miami-Dade County, Florida, is provided in accordance with Section 1001.372, Florida Statutes. A copy of the agenda will be available no later than 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 31, 2021. The agenda can be viewed by accessing the website www.dadeschools.net under Board Information. A copy of the agenda will also be available at Citizen Information Center, Room 102, 1450 N.E. Second Avenue. For further information, telephone 305-995-1128. Any person may present live comments by attending the School Board Administration Building's Auditorium, 1450 NE 2nd Avenue, Miami, FL 33132. In accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines each person will be required to wear a face covering over their nose and mouth (individuals are responsible for providing their own facial covering) and remain at least six (6) feet from other attendees upon arrival as they enter the School Board Administration Building and until his/her departure. Individuals who fail to adhere to these guidelines may be required to leave the premises.

SP-1	POSITION OF THE CHIEF AUDITOR

ACTION PROPOSED BY CHAIR MS. PERLA TABARES HANTMAN: That The School Board of Miami-Dade County, Florida: direct the Chief Auditor to prepare an Exit Report on matters relative to the role and scope of the Chief Auditor’s position, including concerns, if any, with respect to the budget, and any other fiscal issues of the school district to be provided to the School Board; request the Audit and Budget Advisory Committee call a special meeting as soon as practicable to advise in identifying an Interim Chief Auditor and to formulate recommendations for a search process for the position of Chief Auditor to be provided to the Board preferably by the April 14, 2021 School Board committee meetings; and provide guidance to Audit and Budget Advisory Committee related to the selection of the next Chief Auditor as the Board deems appropriate.
