SP-1 TENTATIVE ADOPTION OF MILLAGE LEVY RESOLUTION FOR 2000-01
Florida Statutes prescribe that no millage shall be levied until a
resolution or ordinance has been approved by the governing body of
the taxing authority, which resolution must be approved by said
taxing authority according to the following procedures:
RECOMMENDED: That The School Board of Miami-Dade County,
Florida, tentatively adopt the millage resolution for 2000-01 for a
total of 9.617 mills.

SP-1 TENTATIVE
ADOPTION OF MILLAGE LEVY RESOLUTION FOR 2000-2001
A recommendation and resolution for tentative adoption of the
2000-01 millage levy will be distributed to Board Members and placed
on file in the Office of the Recording Secretary to the Board and in
the Citizen Information Center no later than the morning of July 19,
2000.
SP-2 TENTATIVE ADOPTION OF
THE 2000-01 BUDGET
The Board received the Tentative Budget Recommendation for fiscal
year 2000-01 on July 13, 2000. That budget recommendation included
proposed millage rates, projected revenues and recommended
appropriations for the General Fund, Debt Service Funds, Capital
Outlay Funds, Special Revenue Funds and Trust and Agency funds.
RECOMMENDED: That The School Board of Miami-Dade County,
Florida:
1. Tentatively adopt the 2000-01 Annual Budget, which consists of the budget approved for advertising on July 19, 2000, as adjusted for recommended changes included in Attachment A, and including any amendments approved by the Board following the public hearing on July 24, 2000; and
2. Approve the School Allocat/on Plans for K-72 and Adult Centers for 2000-01.

approve the policies and procedures and approve the use of District
Discretionary Lottery Funds appropriated by the Legislature to fund
projects and programs enumerated.

RECOMMENDED: That The School Board of Miami-Dade County, Florida,
adopt new Board Rule 6Gx13- 6A-1.022, Extended Year School
Calendar, 2000-2001, and authorize the Superintendent to file the
rule with The School Board of Miami-Dade County, Florida, to be
effective August 1, 2000.
