REQUEST FOR AUTHORIZATION FOR THE SUPERINTENDENT TO ESTABLISH
ADISTRICT STRATEGIC PLANNING COUNCIL, COMPOSED OF DISTRICT,
ACCESS CENTER, AND SCHOOL SITE PERSONNEL, AS
WELL AS REPRESENTATIVES FROM PARENT, BUSINESS, AND COMMUNITY
STAKEHOLDER GROUPS
Consistent with the recommendations and action steps delineated
by OPPAGA the District is preparing to revise and update
the District Strategic Plan.
RECOMMENDED:
That The School Board of Miami-Dade County, Florida, authorize
the Superintendent to establish a District Strategic Planning
Council, composed of District, ACCESS Center, and school
site personnel, as well as representatives from parent,
business, and community stakeholder groups.

OF THE 2003-04 BUDGET
The Board received the Tentative Budget Recommendation for
fiscal year 2003-04 on July 7, 2003.
RECOMMENDED:
That The School Board of Miami-Dade County, Florida:
1.
Tentatively adopt the 2003-04 Annual Budget, which consists
of the budget approved for advertising on July 9, 2003,
as adjusted for recommended changes included in Attachment
A, and including any amendments approved by the Board following
the public hearing on July 23, 2003; and

TENTATIVE ADOPTION OF MILLAGE LEVY RESOLUTION FOR 2003-04
Florida Statutes prescribe that no millage shall be levied
until a resolution or ordinance has been approved by the
governing body of the taxing authority, which resolution
must be approved by said taxing authority according to
the following procedures:
RECOMMENDED:
That The School Board of Miami-Dade County, Florida, tentatively
adopt the millage resolution for 2003-04 for a total of
9.100 mills.
