JULY 6, 2016 SPECIAL BOARD MEETING 4:00 P.M.
SBAB - Auditorium

PURPOSE: To discuss the Superintendent’s reorganization recommendation. This Special Meeting conducted by The School Board of Miami-Dade County, Florida, is provided in accordance with Section 1001.372, Florida Statutes.  There may be action by the Board on other items such as Personnel, Finance, and other programs.  An agenda will be available at 4:00 p.m., on June 30, 2016.  A citizen wishing to speak to the agenda should submit a written request to the Citizen Information Center, Room 102, 1450 N.E. Second Avenue, Miami, Florida 33132, by noon on Tuesday, July 5, 2016.  For further information, telephone Citizen Information Center 305-995-1128.

The School Board of Miami-Dade County, Florida, seeks public input and participation. However, the public purpose is not served when citizens become disorderly or disrupt the meeting. Accordingly, the Chair may order the removal from any School Board meeting of any person interfering with the expeditious or orderly process of the meeting provided the Chair has first issued a warning that continued interference with the orderly processes of the meeting will result in removal. Any law enforcement authority or a sergeant-at-arms designated by Chair shall remove any person ordered removed pursuant to this section §1001.372 (3), Fla.Stat.

2. APPROVE THE CLASSIFICATION AND/OR ESTABLISHMENT OF SELECT MANAGERIAL EXEMPT PERSONNEL (MEP) AND DADE COUNTY SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS’ ASSOCIATION (DCSAA) POSITIONS
3. APPROVE CHANGES TO THE TITLE, PAY GRADE, AND/OR MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR SELECT MEP AND DCSAA POSITIONS
4. APPOINT, ASSIGN, AND/OR RECLASSIFY MEP AND DCSAA PERSONNEL, AND
5. AUTHORIZE THE SUPERINTENDENT TO MAKE MINOR PERSONNEL ADJUSTMENTS TO EFFECTUATE THIS REORGANIZATION
