PURPOSE: To discuss school reopening plan. This Special Board Meeting conducted by The School Board of Miami-Dade County, Florida, is provided in accordance with Section 1001.372, Florida Statutes and is being held in accordance with Governor DeSantis’ Executive Order 20-69 Suspending Certain Statutory Public Meeting Requirements. SP-1 TENTATIVE SCHOOL REOPENING PLAN FOR 2020/2021 IN RESPONSE TO THE COVID-19 EMERGENCY


RECOMMENDED: That The School Board of Miami-Dade County, Florida, accept the 2020/2021 School Reopening Plan including all identified instructional models and authorize the Superintendent to make modifications as may be necessary in response to CDC guidelines, state or local requirements, or other circumstances associated with health and safety related to COVID-19, in order to protect the health, safety, and welfare of students and employees.

 

 

 

SP-2 RATIFICATION OF THE 2020-2023 TENTATIVE AGREEMENT SUCCESSOR CONTRACT BETWEEN MIAMI-DADE COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS AND THE UNITED TEACHERS OF DADE (GOOD CAUSE)

RECOMMENDED: That The School Board of Miami-Dade County, Florida, ratify the 2020-2023 Tentative Agreement Successor Contract with UTD effective July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2023.
