115,407 C-30 AUTHORIZED Nineteen (19) charter school applications and denial of five (5) charter applications.

115,409 c-70 certified The 2012-2013 Class Size Compliance Plan.

115,410 c-80 authorized The acceptance of grant award for one program from the Florida Department of Education, for the period of October 14, 2011, through June 30, 2014, as delineated in the Official Agenda item.

Nottage, Teacher, Gateway Environmental K-8 Center, suspension for ten (10) workdays; Ms. Cassandra Edwards, Elementary School Assistant, Pine Lake Elementary School, for thirty (30) workdays; Ms. Patti Guadagno, Teacher, Marjory Stoneman Douglass Elementary School, for eighteen (18) workdays: and Mr. Jimmy R. Thomas, Teacher, Rockway Middle School, for thirty (30) workdays.

The Superintendent’s recommendation for disciplinary actions, to be effective January 19, 2012, pending the outcome of an administrative hearing or grievance /arbitration proceeding, if requested, in the following manner: Ms. Janie E. Scott, Bus Aide, Northwest Transportation Center, suspension without pay for thirty (30) calendar days; Mr. Christos Kalogeropoulos, Head Custodian, North Miami Middle School, demotion to Custodian; and Ms. Dixie D. Cortez, Teacher, Madie Ives Elementary School suspension without pay and initiation of dismissal proceedings.
