RECOMMENDED: That The School Board of Miami-Dade County, Florida, commission the firm of Landera Associates, P.A. to perform architectural/engineering services for the re-roofing projects at Calusa Elementary, Edison Park Elementary, and Oliver Hoover Elementary for a combined estimated construction cost of $2,600,500 for the following considerations:

1. lump sum fee of $149,120 which represents approximately 5.73% of the construction cost;

2. additional lump sum fees for : a) $7,500 or site assessment verification process, b) $8,726 for reproduction of Board requested contract documents; and c) a not-to-exceed fee of $50,000 for independent testing services;

3. at the Board’s option, the A/E will provide 216 site visits for a fee of $46,400 for the duration of the construction process;

RECOMMENDED: That The School Board of Miami-Dade County, Florida, approve the instructional and non-instructional appointments, reassignments, leaves, and separations as included in Personnel Action Listing 917.

H-6 REQUEST FOR AUTHORIZATION TO ENTER INTO FORMAL PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SCHOOL AGREEMENTS WITH BARRY UNIVERSITY, FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY, UNION INSTITUTE AND UNIVERSITY, AND THE UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI

RECOMMENDED: That The School Board of Miami-Dade County, Florida, authorize the Superintendent of Schools to enter into Professional Development School agreements with Barry University, Florida International University, Union Institute and University, and the University of Miami.
